Mission Statement

EUDUG, the European Union Databases User Group, exists to provide a support network to users of databases covering the European Union and its activities.

Established as the Eurobases User Group, EUDUG originally dealt with official EU databases, but now it concerns itself with commercial databases too and is interested in related matters such as UK implementation, EU-related websites etc. Its members are primarily , but not exclusively, information professionals and its activities include:

Meetings: the group organises open meetings two or three times a year, mostly in London, at which speakers present topics of interest to group members.
Testing: EUDUG attempts to maintain contact with database providers and encourages consultation and testing activities in relation to new products.
Lobbying: EUDUG will take up issues of concern with database providers in the interest of its members, the user community.
